Title:  Business Development Partner

Reports to: Business Development Manager

Location: Anywhere in US

 

Job Summary

As a Business Development Partner, you will establish relationships with potential customers through research and communication, from first contact until you schedule a meeting with a Sales Executive. You will fully realize the prospect and organization’s needs and determine how FranklinCovey can provide value. In turn, this will be presented to the prospect through a variety of methods.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Create an on-going business development and brand awareness strategy for a list of target organizations utilizing assets and experiences created by corporate marketing 
  • Research target organizations, decision makers, and influencers to create prospecting strategies 
  • Build out accounts in Salesforce (CRM) with new leads and contacts to populate touchpoint campaigns  
  • Utilize a combination of calls, emails, social media, marketing, and automated systems to contact engaged prospects 
  • Schedule exploratory meetings between clients and Sales Executive to move opportunities forward 
  • Update and clean CRM database

Job Requirements

  • Passionate about building relationships, helping people, and problem solving 
  • Ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand value based on a client’s specific needs 
  • Approaches work with curiosity and perseverance
  • Innovative and action-oriented 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfortability interacting with prospects via phone, chat, and other methods 
  • Energized by continual growth, both professionally and personally 

 

Preferred Experience

  • 0-3 years working in a business development, sales, marketing, or lead generation role, preferably in a B2B and/or SaaS environment 
  • Working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce  
  • Sales automation systems such as Outreach.io
