Title:  Custom Learning Solutions Architect

Reports to:  Director of Custom Solutions

Location: Remote - Anywhere in the USA

Job Summary:

Work in a highly collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced consulting environment, partnering with sales professionals to develop custom solutions (meetings, designing custom learning programs and deliverables, scoping, contracting) and engaging in active projects as design thought-leader and expert (learning deliverable development, content development).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as a learning and organizational development thought-leader for FranklinCovey clients and internal partners, providing consulting and instructional design expertise related to talent development in large, global organizations.
  • Partner with clients, FranklinCovey client partners (sales professionals), and/or implementation specialists to understand client contexts, business requirements, analyze talent development needs, and recommend custom learning solutions leveraging FranklinCovey’s suite of content, using methodologies that fit the client context, are impactful, and efficient.
  • Recommend measurement strategies to prove, improve and reinforce the impact of a custom solution.
  • Develop innovative approaches to learning, leveraging the right modalities or methodologies (eg micro-learning, eBooks, collaborative learning, action learning projects, peer coaching, gamification, etc)
  • Scope custom learning solutions for clients based on a deep understanding of both the ADDIE and SAM processes as well as specific job functions such as instructional design, graphic design, and project management.
  • Create highly detailed contracts that define the deliverables for each client based on the proposed learning solution recommended in the sales process.
  • Engage and informally lead projects teams—consisting of a project manager, instructional designer, and graphic designer—in executing the proposed learning solution.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and FranklinCovey resources when designing and developing more complex learning deliverables, such as integration with client-specific processes.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or 10+ years of experience in learning and development
  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Designer or Organizational Development is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with a range of approaches to curriculum design for adult learners (both ADDIE and SAM/Agile)
  • Demonstrate genuine interest and curiosity about organization design and performance across all industries and cultures
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills
  • Demonstrate excellent continuous improvement capabilities to enhance custom processes
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
