Job Description


Title: Multimedia and Online Content Assistant

Reports to:  Director of Senior Staff Education

Location: Remote – Washington DC

Job Summary and Essential Job Functions:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • 6-month period of performance

This person will be responsible for producing online recorded meetings on multiple web conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex. They will edit the recorded videos into high-quality final product suitable for posting on a website. Editing includes cutting sound, video, and apply on-screen graphics. This person will also be responsible for creating, editing, and managing the content including videos and documents for the CAO Coach website to ensure the website is always up to date with the most recent content. They will serve in a primarily telework stance for a six-month period with the potential for extension based on performance, and report directly to a Director of Senior Staff Education. A proven background in website content maintenance, graphics, and video production, and newsletter creation are desired as well as the flexibility, agility and high level of personal organization required to meet the needs of a fast-paced organization with a high volume of stakeholders with varying interests. Experience in a Congressional office is highly valuable.

Job Requirements

  • Degree/certification in communications, graphic design, video production, digital communications, or related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience editing, creating, and maintaining digital and online content
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premier, Adobe In-Design, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Skill/experience with graphic design and animation tools preferred.
  • Experience using content management systems to build and manage online content.
  • Ability to create, edit, and manage pages and subpages of websites
  • Ability to learn quickly and become proficient with a content management system.
  • Experience managing digital media files in an organized and secure fashion
  • Experience posting, linking, and embedding content online including using Youtube
  • Ability and comfort to make multiple rounds of revisions on a tight time frame.
  • Familiarity and comfort with using webinar platforms and learning management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven experience in writing, reviewing, and editing storyboards.
  • Complex problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
