Job Description


Title: Jr. Accountant
Reports to:  Director of Finance and Business Analytics

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Completes accounting duties in select areas and assists with month-end accounting close.
  • Ensures expenditures are expensed or capitalized in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Responsible for consistent and timely delivery of internal reports and scoreboards used by the sales team, managers, and executive team. Highlights data pertinent to other leaders.
  • Collaborates with cost center managers to drive business decisions.
  • Reviews and approves employee/business expenses ensuring adherence to company policy.
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting, other business analyses, and projects as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel required - must have the desire and capability to become an expert.
  • Proficient in a Business Intelligence tool or possesses confidence and ability to master programs.
  • Comfortable asking for further direction and guidance – this is not a micro-managed role.
  • Able to work in a team environment to collaborate on solutions.
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organization skills.
  • Proactive personality that drives continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
