Title:  Marketing Communications Intern — Education Practice

Reports to:  Marketing Manager

 

Job Summary
This internship is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about marketing communications and wants to gain invaluable hands-on marketing experience with a leading global company. In addition to supporting the Markeing Manager with other tasks related to trade shows, market research, etc. he/she will play a key role in the launch of LeaderU. https://www.leaderu.us/

 

This is approximately a 6-month paid internship at $12/hr. The schedule is flexible and requires about 20 hours per week.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead as a project manager
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Participate in developing social media strategy
  • Write content for new website section
  • Monitor social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Curate relevant industry content
  • Organize an editorial calendar
  • Execute on other marketing projects

Job Requirements

Requirements
The candidate will be working towards (or has achieved) a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about web marketing and effectively communicating/positioning a product or service. This role requires an outgoing team-player mindset, a great attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills, and possess strong initiative. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Experience/understanding of project management, social media, graphic design, HTML and website development is a plus. A passion for FranklinCovey content is a huge plus.
