Job Summary

On-Site Program Support – Event Coordinator (3 Month Contract Term)

 

FranklinCovey’s Government Team is seeking two energetic and personable event coordinators to manage room logistics, sign in and roster submission for an ongoing training program on Capitol Hill.  Ideal candidates will be timely, friendly, dressed professionally and interested in being on the Hill. Event coordinators will work 10 – 20 hours a week and schedules will be confirmed for the full three month period upon acceptance of offer.

 Essential Job Functions

  • Compile and manage inventory of participant training materials
  • Prepare rosters and materials for up to six courses per day
  • Create face sheets for executive sessions to better manage check-in
  • Conduct check-in and check-out for all sessions
  • Additional administrative duties as required
  • Shifts would be 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM with variation based on the course schedule
  • $15/hour, average 10 – 20 hours per week (flexible)

Job Requirements

Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience managing event planning including budgets, marketing initiatives, resources and vendor relationships. Experience must show a proven record of successfully marketing and creating event concepts and designs delivering projects on time and on budget without close supervision. BA/BS in business or related field is preferred. A well- developed pattern of achievement, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Publisher are required. Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
