Title:  Product Developer - Professional Learning Lead

Reports to:  VP of Product Development

Job Summary

The Product Developer-Professional Learning Lead is a full time position in the product development function of FranklinCovey’s Education Division. They help develop professional learning experiences for PK to 12 educators. As Professional Learning Lead they also champion and educate both internal and external clients around FranklinCovey’s professional learning experiences. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops new professional learning content for educators in the form of workshops, modules, articles, videos, and other modalities.
  • Assists in defining and evolving a learning architecture and ecosystem that leverages new technologies and produces quality learning outcomes at scale.
  • Defines and implements a system of review and maintenance to ensure that FranklinCovey professional learning content meets our most current standards.
  • Collaborate with the product development team, executive team, and other functions to define and implement standards for instructional design, DEI, accessibility, and other elements of quality learning experiences.
  • Implements metrics and analyzes data to determine effectiveness of professional learning.
  • Works cross-functionally to increase understanding of professional development content among internal team members.
  • Works with marketing and sales to tell the story of our transformational content in compelling ways.
  • Acts as channel champion to communicate the value of our professional learning content to large clients.
  • Partners with design and operations to develop product specifications.
  • Works on other product development projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in instructional design, educational leadership, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Leader in Me content, and other FranklinCovey content
  • Excellent instructional design skills with understanding of the Empowered Learning Approach and the Leader in Me Learning Cycle
  • Experience with implementing content standards across a development system
  • Demonstrated highly effective cross-functional team collaboration
  • Current in new education technologies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Experience as a FranklinCovey Coach or Consultant strongly preferred
  • Graphic design and video production experience a plus
