Job Summary
The Localization Project Coordinator provides a vital role in the Innovations group at FranklinCovey and our global outreach. The Localization Project Coordinator, organizes and coordinates the delivery of products in twenty plus languages and is responsible for maintaining multiple project schedules, scoping, and communication documentation. Tracking of work breakdown structure and managing to it on the multiple projects they own.  Will help execute and finalize projects according to high quality standards, strict deadlines, and within budget. Includes proactively acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.  The Localization Project Coordinator will audit and oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle ensuring execution on commitments and goals.  They are responsible for tracking invoicing and reconciling all project financials.  Exhibiting a high degree of initiative, flexibility and self-direction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders as well as maintenance needs for current product solutions.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Compile and collaborate with teams/vendors to gather the necessary source files for initiating translation.
  • Effectively communicate project status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain project milestone, schedules, deliverables, budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Work collaboratively to manage changes in project scope and direction to quickly recalibrate schedules and budgets.
  • Create documentation to track progress on localization projects for internal communication and awareness.
  • Track multiple threads of development and deliverables at a given time within a project.
  • Represents localization efforts in product/solution development mtgs to ensure localization is not an afterthought and communicate challenges that design could be creating for localization.
  • Team player, as some time will be needed in quality check and loading of translated assets.
  • Focus on continual process improvement.

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) plus a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a project management capacity.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently are essential.
  • Strong prioritization skills and understanding of level of urgency to apply to different tasks/deliverables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a team in an environment of change.
  • A strong ability to work proactively and adapt creatively with stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Love of learning and learns quickly.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills with a sense of ownership for the successfulness of the overall project.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to keep and maintain accurate up-to-date budgets.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office are essential.  Familiarity with project management tools such as Teamwork, Asana, or MS Project is a plus.
  • Ability to balance diverse perspectives among stakeholders with different interests.
  • Existing experience or understanding of localizing/translating products into multiple languages is a plus.
