Job Summary

The Associate Project Manager provides an essential role for the Innovations group at FranklinCovey. This role facilitates the completion of updates to existing FranklinCovey training products as well as manages the process of translations of existing training products into multiple languages. They will document requirements, map and maintain project schedules, job estimates, records tasks or action items and work-flow on projects. Will help execute and finalize projects according to high quality standards, deadlines and within budget. Includes proactively acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of team members and third-party contactors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Associate Project Manager will oversee quality and ensure execution on commitments and goals. Exhibits a high degree of initiative, flexibility and self-direction.


Essential Job Functions


  • Oversee project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, including our international partners.
  • Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Effectively communicate project status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain project milestone schedules and deliverables.
  • Maintain tracking of all components throughout the localization process.
  • Work collaboratively to manage changes in project scope and direction in order to quickly recalibrate schedules and budgets.
  • Influence project team members and contractors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Contribute to continual process improvement.


Job Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in a project management capacity.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently are essential.

Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a team in an environment of frequent change.

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in making decisions that impact stakeholders. 

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Love of learning and learns quickly.

Excellent leadership and people skills.

Professional appearance and persona.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure.

Experience working with localizations/translations and global stakeholders and colleagues.

Must be able to handle conflicts and disagreements with diplomacy and respect, and to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.

Ability to keep and maintain accurate up-to-date budgets.

Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office are essential.  Familiarity with MS Project is a plus.

Ability to balance diverse perspectives among stakeholders with different interests.
