Job Summary
The Business Development Rep (BDR) is responsible for the support, nurture, and advancement of all inbound marketing leads. This includes screening and routing all inbound calls, incoming email, website leads, and event leads. This individual will play a key role in converting inbound leads into meetings and opportunities for sales and will partner with sales to develop best practices and processes that support business development and growth objectives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide white-glove support with timely & efficient responses for inbound K-12 and Higher Education phone calls.
  • Route inbound calls to appropriate customer service, support or sales representatives and follow through to ensure high level of satisfaction.
  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings.
  • Set up salesforce campaigns and a process to capture conference leads and upload to the marketing database.
  • Develop and execute an effective process that ensures 100% follow up on inbound leads and marketing qualified leads (MQL’s)
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute automation and nurture strategies that influence progression through the funnel.
  • Provide sales training to ensure smooth, timely and effective follow up on leads.
  • Partner with sales to improve lead generation and qualification processes.
  • Support the marketing team and field efforts in promoting and filling events.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design innovative inbound marketing strategies.
  • Manage Education Division email.
  • Monitor Live Chat for website visitors.
  • Establish an effective inbound marketing and business development function.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements
Position requires a minimum of 2 years of marketing, sales or business development experience including email marketing, lead and demand generation. Proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS Office is required. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.  We are looking for motivated team players with strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
