Job Description

Title:  Customer Care Specialist, Part-Time/Temp

Reports to:  Managing Director, Government Services

 

Job Summary
The primary role of the Customer Care Specialist is to provide exceptional and timely customer service to service and support for a specific Federal government client in a team environment.  Serves customers by determining requirements; answering inquiries; resolving problems; fulfilling requests; maintaining databases.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Determines requirements by working with customers.
  • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.
  • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
  • Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests.
  • Sells additional services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell accounts; explaining new features.
  • Maintains call center database by entering information.
  • Keeps equipment operational by following established procedures; reporting malfunctions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Requirements

Requirements
This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of administrative/sales support experience.  Work experience must demonstrate organization and customer service/sales skills.  Organization skills with high attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to type a minimum of 50 WPM are required.  Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills and excellent phone skills are required.  We are looking for motivated team players with strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.  Ability to complete and pass a background investigation.
