Title:  Director of Digital Marketing

Reports to:  Vice President, Marketing

Job Summary
FranklinCovey’s Director of digital marketing directs and controls overall department responsible for digital marketing of the Enterprise Division. Develops and delivers marketing policies, practices and strategies to attract customers to company website, online presence and promote products and services. Develops marketing plans to enhance influence of products or services. Reviews online statistics, changes to the marketplace and identifies the best practice to optimize online marketing performance or changes plans accordingly. Oversees all e-marketing content, social media, and web design.

Essential Job Functions

This position will initially have six key digital accountability measures:

  • Pipeline contribution
  • Qualified leads generated
  • Live event participants qualified and registered from web
  • Design and implementation of an automated leads nurturing system
  • Design and implementation of a global franklincovey.com presence
  • Design and governance of a social media strategy

This position will collaborate with and leverage resources across FranklinCovey’s numerous marketing and technology resources including Corporate Marketing, Region Marketing, Practice Marketing, IT, Innovations, and International and Licensee Partners.

Requirements

A seasoned digital expert, with significant experience in digital strategy, demand generation, marketing or sales roles.

  • Working knowledge of AEM, WordPress, Marketo, social media platforms, and Google Analytics.
  • Expertise in SEO, digital advertising, and B2B demand generation.
  • Significant experience in developing & recommending successful digital strategic initiatives to deliver value based on business objectives, insights and ROI.
  • Experience in developing strong collaborative relationships with others to achieve common business goals. Used to working in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Expertise in delivering creative & highly effective digital content, with proven record in attracting traffic, converting digital sales and retaining customers.
  • Ability to manage complex digital change plans and budgets to deliver change efficiently, effectively and with close cost control.
  • Commercial acumen and effective decision making that will deliver financial goals, based on an understanding of our business.
  • Strong leadership and coaching/mentoring skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in business, marketing, communication or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience within a mid-to-large size company responsible for setting and executing digital marketing strategies.
  • Global experience, particularly experience in high growth markets (HGM) preferred.
  • B2B (lead generation) digital marketing experience is required.
  • Strong technical competence and functional knowledge, including demonstrated experience driving results through each of the following digital marketing channels: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media, and Email.
  • An understanding of and experience working with supporting digital marketing technologies such as Salesforce.com, Marketo, and Uberflip.
  • Experience managing vendors and programmers to build and manage websites.
  • Experience and proven success with A/B and/or multivariate testing to drive increase in conversions on landing pages and website pages.
  • An understanding of what it takes to successfully go through a company website redesign process (design and development).
  • Ability to effectively interact and influence at senior leader/executive levels.
  • Excellent communication abilities with all levels and roles within an organization.
