Job Description

Title:  Director of Finance, Education Practice  

Reports to:  President, Education Practice

Job Summary

The Director of Finance will be responsible for general financial analysis, auditing, forecasting, and office management with our Education Practice. Will develop and implement approved budgetary control strategy.  Coordinate and consolidate information from client sales partners to be used in forecasting and data analysis. Ensure proper revenue recognition and perform accounting duties in select areas.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Provide accurate forecasting
  • Yearend filing with Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Auditing
  • Direct activities to properly record, gather, and analyze financial information
  • Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with Company standards
  • Code invoices and general expenses
  • Ensure quality coordination of seminar logistics
  • Review and sign sale order contracts
  • Ensure proper use and data integrity of order entry and systems
  • Gather and prepare necessary reports for the General Manager
  • Produce schedules and desired information for request from Corporate Office
  • Hiring of staff in department and set clear objectives for each employee
  • Conduct performance evaluations and monitor training needs accordingly 



Job Requirements


Position requires a BS/BA in Finance or Accounting with 5 years of experience in Finance or accounting. Master’s Degree is preferred.  Acquisition experience is preferred.  Strong computer skills with MSOffice and must be exceptional with Excel and Accounting package.   Must be technically savvy with the ability to learn new systems and quickly adapt to change.  Candidate must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.  Position requires exceptional people skills including written and verbal communication skills.   This position requires a high level of confidentiality and integrity.   We are looking for a team player with a high level of confidentiality and integrity and the ability to handle stressful situations.  Candidate must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
