Job Summary

This instructional designer will be responsible for the instructional quality of FranklinCovey's world-renowned learning products. Working with a variety of thought leaders and subject-matter experts, he or she will create best-in-class solutions across the full range of current and emerging formats.

The ideal candidate has an MA in instructional design or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in learning and performance improvement. This person will have significant creative authority and will lead other designers and writers to produce extraordinary, innovative and impactful products for FranklinCovey clients. The candidate should be flexible, collaborative, and self-motivated. More importantly, he or she should be sufficiently confident in domain knowledge and creativity to produce stellar, award-winning work.

Essential Job Functions & Requirements

  • Conceptualize and execute the design of instructional systems across a spectrum of delivery modalities
  • Pursue excellence in product offerings but also in the betterment of design/development processes
  • Help build a center of excellence around instructional design on the Innovations team
  • Work with graphic designers, video producers, and a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Review the work of other team members to ensure quality at every step in the development process
  • Possess domain knowledge in leadership and other soft skills
  • Possess significant expertise in instructional design, with demonstrated success with Fortune 500 clientele
  • Excel in all forms of communication, including writing and editing
