Job Summary
The Project Manager provides a vital leadership role in the Innovations group at FranklinCovey. The Project Manager ensures the delivery of exceptional products and is responsible for maintaining project schedules, job estimates, records tasks or action items and work-flow on projects.  Will help execute and finalize projects according to high quality standards, strict deadlines, and within budget.  Includes proactively acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.  The Project Manager will oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle ensuring execution on commitments and goals.  Responsible for invoicing and reconciling all project financials.  Exhibits a high degree of initiative, flexibility and self-direction.


Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Effectively communicate project status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain project milestone schedules and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively to manage changes in project scope and direction in order to quickly recalibrate schedules and budgets.
  • Influence project team members and contractors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Manage project budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Contribute to continual process improvement.




Job Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) plus a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a project management capacity.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently are essential.

Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a team in an environment of change.

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in making decisions that impact stakeholders. 

A strong ability to work proactively and adapt creatively with stakeholders and clients.

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Love of learning and learns quickly.

Excellent leadership and people skills.

Professional appearance and persona.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure.

Must be able to handle conflicts and disagreements with diplomacy and respect, and to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.

Ability to keep and maintain accurate up-to-date budgets.

Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office are essential.  Familiarity with MS Project is a plus.

Ability to balance diverse perspectives among stakeholders with different interests.
